The Warlock House has always been a different place after dark…
As daylight disappears behind the trees,
familiar shapes around the property begin to change.
Sculptures emerge from the shadows. Gargoyles watch from unexpected places.
Strange faces appear among stone and concrete.
Works of art that have spent decades beneath the Florida sun seem to take on entirely different personalities beneath the moonlight.
And perhaps that shouldn’t be surprising.
The Warlock House was never meant to be an ordinary place.
Artist Lewis VanDercar, once known around town as the “Warlock of Wesley Chapel,”
spent decades transforming his home and property into an ever-evolving world of art, sculpture, architecture, nature, humor, and wonderfully peculiar things.
Some pieces are impossible to miss.
Others have been quietly waiting among the trees for decades.
And nearly every one has a story.

A Different Way to Experience
The Warlock House
This October, we’re opening the gates after dark
and inviting a new generation to wander among them.
Warlock House Statuary Night Tours will take guests through the property
to discover the sculptures, unusual works of art and details,
a full exhibit detailing the incredible life of the artist and creator, VanDercar,
and invite you to remember the moment
by snapping a pic inside the newest sculpture on the property!
Along the way, we’ll share some of the stories behind
the property, the art, Lewis VanDercar,
and answer questions about the wonderfully unconventional world he created here.
Some stories are funny. Some are strange.
Some belong to another Wesley Chapel entirely
— one of dirt roads, orange groves, artists, characters,
and a Warlock living quietly among the trees.
And some stories are still being discovered.
Not a Haunted House.
Something Much More Peculiar.
Despite the name Warlock House,
these tours aren’t a conventional haunted-house attraction.
There are no actors waiting to jump from behind trees. No manufactured scares.
And we’re not interested in inventing ghost stories simply because it’s October.
The atmosphere comes from something much better:
the actual place.
The old trees. The unusual architecture. The sculptures hiding throughout the property.
The stories that have accumulated here.
And the experience of standing among them after the sun has disappeared.
Because sometimes a place doesn’t need to be haunted to feel a little magical.
